LILDBI - LILACS, Bibliographic Description and Indexing

LILDBI is a software developed in CISIS by BIREME/OPS/OMS which aims to support the documentalist tasks in creating bibliographic records in the LILACS format.


LILDBI-Web (LILDBI WEB version)

LILDBI-Web is the Web version of LILDBI - LILACS Bibliographic Description and Indexing. The system enables decentralized management of tasks, such as feeding, maintenance and quality control of databases that comply with LILACS methodology.

It includes the DeCS (Health Sciences Subject Headings) indexing modules using the tool DeCS Server and the search interface iAH to make database available on the Internet or Intranet.

This application is in IsisScript? and is executed with WWWISIS XML IsisSript? Server - WXIS and some functions are developed in PHP.

SeCS - Serials Collection Control System

The SeCS system is a program to the generation of databases to register and control the serials publications collection. It allows the data exchange between National Collective Serials Catalog (CNPq/IBICT) and the SeCS database.


DeCS - Health Sciences Subject Headings

The trilingual and structured DeCS vocabulary- Health Sciences Subject Headings - was created by BIREME to be used in the indexing of scientific journals articles, books, congress proceedings, technical reports, and other types of materials, as well as for searching and retrieving subjects from scientific literature in LILACS, MEDLINE and other data bases.


Bibliographical Description Manual

It guides the fulfilling of the data fields defined in LILACS format. It describes each data field and presents fulfilling examples. The standardization of the data elements follows international standards of handling bibliographical information.

Indexing Manual

It describes the procedures that have to be followed for the use of qualifers in the document content analysis to be incorporated in the LILACS database.

 


Document Selection Guide

It defines the document types and its selection criteria adopted to be entered in the LILACS database. It includes the Journal Selection Criteria for the LILACS Database.
